Meet Our Staff:

The Reverend Alvin Lingenfelter, Senior Pastor

The Rev. Alvin Lingenfelter has over 30 years of experience in the United Methodist Church, holding practically every position possible in support of local church ministry.
His work has been education, service and outreach focused and spread across multiple age groups. His experience includes small and large congregations in rural and urban settings.
For the past 10 years, Alvin has served as a local pastor in the Metro Atlanta area assisting congregations in transition, helping them work toward a new vision and future as “The Church” continues to evolve and adapt to new challenges and opportunities in the world.
He holds a Bachelors of Music from Mississippi College and a Masters of Divinity from Duke University. His wife, Lindsey, is the owner of Linden Tree Photography and they have two teenage children, Amos and Leighton.
Laura Briscoe, Church Administrator
Laura joined the staff of Clarkston UMC in January 2022. Raised between Texas and Georgia, she now lives in Tucker with her husband, Jimmy, their two children, Ashton & Sam, and cats, Delilah & Baba. She’s spent almost 15 years working in different churches within the Atlanta area and has grown to love the ever-changing pace of United Methodist churches. She is also the full-time Church & Building Administrator for Embry Hills UMC. When not working, she can be found hanging out with family and friends, working as a freelance makeup artist, listening to true-crime podcasts, or hiking, foraging, and camping with her family.
Lisa Wilson, Director of Music Ministries
Lisa joined our staff in the Fall of 2017. We are blessed to have such a talented musician on our staff.
